Microbial Identification

We use molecular methods to identify microbes based on their DNA sequences. This is more accurate than identifying microbes based on morphology or physiology.

Bacterial / Fungal identification

  • Identification to genus level
  • Identification to species level

Bacterial / Fungal Plate Counts

With the use of non-selective, selective or differential media, we can determine the colony forming units (CFU) of a given sample.

Examples of microbes:

  • Total bacteria
  • Total fungi
  • Bacillus spp.
  • Rhizobium spp. or Nitrogen-fixing bacteria
  • Trichoderma spp.

Please contact us to discuss your specific microbial need.
